Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas! Mom, Dad, and Jeremy and came to stay with us Christmas Eve so they could be here to see Nola open her presents from Santa. We normally go to their house on Christmas day but we postponed our family Christmas so that Donna and Deana could spend that time with their mother who is not doing well. I decided to let everybody open presents Christmas Eve and then Christmas morning would just be about Nola and her Santa gifts. I actually liked it this way because we were able to get the house cleaned back up and then just relax Christmas morning. Gransie and Papa got her a baby doll bed, high chair and other goodies. We bought her some games, Chugginton trains, Toms shoes, American Girl Bitty Baby -which she named "Baby Lizzie" and baby stroller and playpen.

After opening presents, we had a nice dinner that Keith cooked and the we made cookies for Santa. This was the first year that Nola really understood what was happening and it was a lot of fun for all us. Nothing like seeing the joy of Christmas through a child's eye.
